Day 4…York & Skelton

First off, I just had a good chuckle when my phone autocorrected Skelton to “girlhood”, lolz. Here in Skelton I stayed the night in a lovely AirBNB in a little area called The Village. Truly lovely people here, but Katie & Andrew are some of the best. Of course, Andrew just completed a short Scotland camping trip of his own on his Triumph Tiger so he shared some of his stories with me, and warned of some of the weather that I might be headed into.York was incredible and I wish that I had more time to spend there but I will hopefully catch a little bit more on the way back in. As I type this I am waiting patiently for my GoPro videos from yesterday’s drive to upload <tapping foot impatiently>. York is home to the largest Gothic cathedrals in the country – York Minister, and it is simply stunning!Here are a few pictures… Figuring out the gopro and how to get videos uploaded quicker will be my mission over the next day or so (along with driving).Tomorrow… Pateley Bridge and the Yorkshire Dales on the way up to Dumfries!
